Five-Star Training Day Announced to Help Landlords Prepare for the Biggest Rental Market Changes in 30 Years

London, UK – April 2025
Landlords across the UK are being urged to prepare for what’s being described as the most significant changes to the rental market in three decades. To help landlords navigate these changes, an unmissable one-day training event, The Landlords’ Survival Guide 2025, will take place in London on Wednesday, 4 June 2025, at Hamilton House, Mabledon Place, London WC1H 9BD.

Hosted by Paul Shamplina, Co-Founder of Landlord Action, and Steve and Tracey Hanbury, Founders of the National Landlord Investment Show, the event promises a “five-star training day” focused on helping landlords navigate change, stay compliant, and manage their property businesses effectively.

The event follows the success of last year’s inaugural training day and is set to be even bigger, with an expert speaker line-up, no sales pitches or upselling—just clear-cut, practical education and actionable insights for landlords and professionals in the sector.

“We are going to experience one of the biggest changes in 30 years,” said Paul Shamplina. “This event is about helping landlords prepare their property business for those changes with actionable advice and industry-leading insights.”

Throughout the day, attendees will gain direct access to speakers, and receive up-to-date information on topics such as the Renter’s Rights Bill, financing, Landlord tax strategies, and more, all aimed at empowering landlords with the knowledge they need to manage change and continue to successfully run their property business.

Key Speakers and Topics Include:

  • Christian Balshen (Rightmove): Rental Market Trends for 2025
  • Susie Crolla (Guild of Letting and Management): Navigating the Renters’ Rights Bill: Compliance and Risk Management
  • Gavin Richardson (MFB): Investment Opportunities and Mortgage Market Outlook
  • Martin Wardle (TH Ward): Tax Policy and Property Structures for Landlords
  • Andrew Binstock (Auction House London): Property Investment and Auctions in 2025 (As featured on BBC1’s Homes Under the Hammer)

“We’re targeting between 100 and 200 landlords who want to operate as professionals,” added Shamplina. “Our aim is to offer pure, honest education from industry veterans who understand the day-to-day realities of property management.”

Steve Hanbury, Co-Founder of the National Landlord Investment Show, said:

“In this ever-changing business, landlords need to know where to go right and avoid the wrongs. This one-day training covers everything from legal and financial management to market trends and professional development.”
